Meaningful Middle School Math Apps

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Tired of "Drill and Kill" math programs? Want to promote higher level thinking? Join us to look at several apps and online avitivities that align well with the CCSS and can help students gain a more conceptual understanding of basic algebraic concepts. You will walk away with several new lessons (experimental probability, real-life functions) that you can use with little or no prep. Online, we will check out the Center for Algebraic Thinking, Function Carnival, and Graphing Stories. In the app world, we will check out DragonBox, Slope Slider, Lion Grapher, and Function Mystery Machine - check them out and download, ahead of time, ones that you want to try out!
