Alice Della Santina

Alice received her BA in elementary science at the University of Washington in 1974. Her fifth year was completed at Seattle Pacific University. From 1977 to 1979, she worked as president and teacher of the Packwood Cooperative Pre School, then taught first grade and kindergarten until 1993 in the White Pass School District in Washington State. While at White Pass, she was a member of several curriculum committees revising student learning objectives in science, math, and language arts. She was also a member of the technology committee and worked with the school board and administrators to set up a five-year technology plan for the district. A member of the St. Helens Reading Council, Alice helped organize the first Lewis County Young Authors Conference. From 1995 to 1999, Alice taught fifth grade at San Domenico. From 1999 to the present she is has taught first grade. Alice is on math, language and religion PLCs were she can continue her passion for curriculum development.
